So I send Holley Tech a message and this is the reply:
You are not
experiencing any fuel bowl flooding.
It should not go that rich. Fuel air should be around 13-1 at WOT under load.

Your question was:
On the chassie Dyno it shows that my engine is running air/fuel ratio in the low
10's after hitting 3000 rpm's.
I was told to change the secondary jets. If you agree, what size do I need?
Below 3000rpm's it is below 14.
I changed the discharge nozzle to a size 21 from the 40 that was in there and am
using the black cam. The car runs very good but but looks like it is running
rich. some black smoke out the exhaust.

in person i was impressed with Holley. I asked a rep at the '94 trade show what street carb i should buy for my vette, expecting them to push a new model.(i told him i had an old swap meet 4165 and an 1850 on the car)
he explained in detail why it was the 4165! gave me a free cat. & some gaskets too!
phone or mail is a crap shoot. who cares? just buy the right plate & u r done.
I spent a half hour calculating your requirements. Do u think anybody else will do that?
$22 isn't too much to waste on a mistake.

I had already bought and installed the plate last Wensday. I sent the question to them on Monday and they just sent there reply last night. I just thought it was a little odd that would tell me there isn't anything wrong.
My first run with the car was very good. I check the plugs and they look fine. I ran it in 3rd up the X-way for about 5 miles at 80mph at 3600rpm's. In OD I barely hit 2300rpm's so I wanted to check it at the higher rpm's.

Thanks Matt for you help.

nonsequitur! the rear plate was not used in your test. only flows at WOT!
Thanks, I was just assuming that the sec started to open at a given RPM, not just at WOT. You know what they say about assuming things.
Sure would be nice to have the air/fuel meter you talk about to fine tune everything.
What the heck, I may just go build one for the fun of it.
Thanks again

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
