will adding restricter plates to the intake gasket over the heat passages cause the engine to run hot?
Here is why I ask...I changed the stock intake with a stealth which did not use the old heat sink for the choke so the fel-pro set had the restrictor plates as an option and I decided to try it, the engine seems too run a little hotter now in all conditions ?

Restricts the exh gas volume from crossing over thru intake passage. Typically guys change to headers and no longer use the heat riser valve to build up heat for faster warm ups. This is when the restrictor plate in gasket is used. Should not cause the engine temp to increase.
What else did you change during the intake swap? Coolant/water percent, hoses, rad cap, re-route heater hoses, and last did you jack up the front end during the filling process? An air pocket can cause a rise in temp, usually fluctuates up and down though.
thanks for the respone, the only other thing I did was switch to headers. The ratio mix was 50/50 but I did not jack up the front end, is this a mechanics trick I should know about ? I am a new Vette owner all advice is appreciated.
