trans wont shift

Default trans wont shift
have 79 changed from auto to 4 speed new linkage and clutch.Trans wont go in gear with clutch in gears rip. Is there a difference in the clutch fork ball between gm models? if so do I have to take trans out or some other fix?

Sounds like the clutch is not releasing. What did you put in there?

mumice m 20 the bell housing is out of 68 camaro. pedals linkage and fork new vette stuff the only thing I didnt change was shift fork stud

no. but you can start the car in gear hold the clutch in ,the car start moving like the clutch is engaged, then you pull shifter into netural and it stops moving like it should.
