I have a 1970 350 HO engine which I am going to rebuild this winter, and I have got a possibility to get the parts shipped to Denmark in a container for a fair price...
Have you guys any experience in the Edelbrock RPM Power package ?? ( Summit# EDL-2099 )
I had my choice set on the Bodix K180 heads along with Holley SA 570, and the Weiand Stealth intake. but should I choose the WND-8016 or WND-8150
Which cam should I aim for??? I want a nice idle, and the wife should be apple to drive it, and besides that I would like as much Power as possible
What is your oponion? should I get the individuel parts or just order he Edelbrock package ??
You need a manual trans. or high stall converter for the RPM cam.
68-72 standard hoods have limited clearance. One should consider the entire flow path. You need at least about 3/4" clearance over the vent tubes. Minimum for 8150 is LT-1/BB hood.
You can fit Action+ or Performer. Probably not 8016 ... spec. 4.18" in front compared to 3.5" for 2101.

My father has the Edelbrock Performer RPM package in his vette. It is probably a little too much for your wife. The car will vibrate like crazy at idle! Overall, its a great high performance street package. Its a great sounding cam with kind of a rough idle to it! Supposedly, Edelbrock rates these packages between 420-435 HP, but I think it is a little underated. If your a gearhead, I assure you that you will like this engine package!
BTW - the Performer RPM intake did clear my dad's factory hood.
Street legal 57 race car early 70s w/ BB 427 bored, race cam, 2 4s on tunnel ram, 4 spd., etc. ran 10s & never beat.
I also had a 57 BelAir 2dr. hardtop w/ SB solid cam, etc.
