Differential Lube Help

Would appreciate it if anyone can advise me how much GM posi additive (4oz bottles) and GM rear end lube (23 oz bottles) to add to my '69 3:36 posi differential. Just had it rebuilt and need to refill it. I see differing results in the shop manual and two parties selling the lube/ additive.

Buy 2 bottles of additive and 2 bottles of lube.Put both bottles of additive in and one bottle of lube then add 2nd bottle of lube until it comes up to fill hole.

It doesn't look like two bottles will be enough fill it to the hole line, even with the additive. Is there a max amount the diff will hold?

I pump out of a 5gal container but I think the book says 2 quarts.

Depends on the gear ratio. 4.11 takes 4.1 pints, 3.36 takes 3.36 pints...

If you don't have an owner's manual, get one. My 68 says rear axle capacity is 3.7 pts.
