Default Disconnected wires, where do they go?

I have a couple of loose wires floating around the engine compartment. If someone knows what they are or where they connect. I would appreciate any help.

What is this tan wire for? It goes back into the bundle of wires that goes through the firewall. I first thought it was for the temp sending unit, but it is not.

Where does this wire hook up at? I think it may be the power for the a/c but I am not 100% sure. PO obviously wired it to something else right there beside the a/c.

I don’t have a clue about this connection other than I think it’s related to the a/c because of it’s location.

And this black hose? Windshield wiper squirter thing?

And this connection?

Everything electrical works except the voltage gauge and the a/c, the factory alarm is disconnected also.

Looks to me like you need to clean up some of that wiring. It's a matter of time before big problems start.

what does the tan wire for the carb idle solenoid (the one with the black connector in the first picture) do if the carb is not original and there is no idle solenoid? ;;i.e. that wire is connected to nothing like in the picture? he sya his ac and voltmeter don't work. this tan wire is related to both those things, no? or if in the situation of installing an aftermarket carb, where shoild a person connect this wire?

First off, thank you everyone.

Carb now has a manual choke on it, so an idle solenoid wouldn't be needed, right?

Where do 3 and 5 connect or the general area?

I don't think so. The second wire looks like it attaches to an a/c or heater or some hose like part. I'll get a better picture tomorrow.

Sure....say what was your credit card number again, mate? (I work with what I have available, are you offering monetary assets? )

He has a good question. Any speculation to the answer?

I cant remember on a 74 if the carb solenoid was for anti-dieseling or to bump up the idle for the AC.In pic #2 there is a tan wire connected to the AC wire-is this the same wire as pic#1? If it is they were using it to bump up the idle when the AC was on.If you dont have a solenoid on the carb to adjust the idle with then you wont be using the tan wire-just roll it up and tuck away in case you decide to add a solenoid in the future.
In pic 3 you plug that orange wire on to the blower motor pos. spade under the passenger fender.Dont attach it to the ground spade.
In pic 5 that conn. attached to a solenoid that is missing off your manifold. It was for emissions and limited dist. advance.Roll it up and tuck away.

I don't know if the two tan wires were ever connected. The one coming off the ac has alot of bare spots in it and looks pretty bad. The one on the other side looks alright. They sure don't look like the same wire, other than color. I'll tinker with it and see what it does.

Thank you.
