Default carb probs.

My 80 run and idled fine untill I reinstalled the air pump [match # car. part found from forum member]. now has a popping sound in the exhaust when cold ,get's better when warm , but decell. is a bit rough. Can I back the pilots out a little . Thanks for any reply.

Yes you can try opening up on the idle mixture screws. If you need to go more than 1/2 turn from where they are now there is something else wrong. When you put the pump back on did you make sure you got all the hoses hooked up right? I believe there is a vacuum line from the control unit of the pump to the vacuum temprature switch up on the intake manifold.
