Default Question on 73 windshield area

I am wondering if any of you might have some advice or input as to the appearance of the lower windshield/wiper area on this 73 roadster??

I am assuming the windshield is either aftermarket or from another vehicle. I have not seen one that curves up on the ends like this one. Also the patch area is of concern! Is it there to hold and seal the window? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

The glass does look like that and the only way to tell if it's aftermarket is the etched numbers compared to what they would have been stock.

I'm not sure about the patch. Your car may have had birdcage work.

That is for sure a 68 to 72 type windshield, though i dont know if they changed it in 73 or not

as far as that patch goes, someone just did a quick sloppy job on that birdcage, i would take a harder look to see what else was quick patched and what other damage is there, does it leak bad ?

Hey Cal, is that one of those new Casios you took that shot with? I just bought the Z75 black one and can't wait for it to show up.
