ZZ4 Waterpump Question

Will I be able to use a long style waterpump that comes with the fast burn 385 turn key crate engine if I use electric fans, like a spal or something?

The original ZZ4 long pump won't work as I believe you will have pulley alignment problems.

Yes ... you could ... BUT ... in keeping w/ what B77 said ... your OE C3 ALT, P/S, A/C pulleys will NOT come close to aligning with ZZ4 pulleys ... so you'll need to run a complete matched set of pulleys & brackets & wpump either a vette ... or entire setup from a later vehicle that came with a long pump. Bottom line ... entire setup including pump, pulleys & bracketry must match.

And remember, there is long waterpump, short waterpump and Corvette waterpump. If you are using Corvette brackets and pulleys, you need to use a Corvette waterpump.

Purchase Edelbrock 8812 water pump. Short style and set up for ZZ4 applications. Use factory pulleys and accessories.
