I would recommend Lakewood.
This will probably fit your engine,

Their stuff is SFI approved and also SCCA or NHRA required on some classes. Not sure what the sanctioning bodies are in the EU but if you are in a club or race at all the governing body will have the requirements for this. If you don't race or what ever, then the NHRA or SCCA have good guidelines for safety requirements.

Its not for anykind of racing. It is just a precaution i'm taking, since i will be spinning my engine at high rpm.
As far as I can see these don't have a block saver plate. Is that correct ?
Thanks

The Lakewood bell housings can be ordered with the block saver plate but it is a separate item, you also need to get the dowel pins as well. Talk to the tech support people at summit they should be able to get you set up.

I have the lakewood BP and block saver. You also need the Long dowel pins and long GM fork stud.
The bottom of the bell hangs really low. I ground off more than a 1/4 inch. A smart person would use a plasma cutter and take off the lower edge. It is painted with a red powder coating that requires sanding the paint off the back circle to fit the tranny in smoother.

Before I went to stiffer springs all around, I ground about 1/4" off of my 1st Lakewood, too.
Oh, you mean on purpose.

The bell is such tough steel that it took a long time to grind it. If it every whacked an ground object you would be in deep ****!

Sawzall or put it up on a vertical band saw. It will take the bottom or whatever else you need removed off in a minute.

You have to use a Corvette specific clutch fork, the standard chevy fork does not have enough bend to clear the firewall. Also, you can buy adjustable clutch ball-studs.

You're welcome ... Speedway's may have TWO starter pockets ... not a problem if you have room on left. BTW, I do accept gratuities ... a shot of warm kirschwasser would be great!
