Default Help with stripes

Does anyone have any experience with the striping kits offered by some of the aftermarket catalogues? Specifically, I want to know what comes in the kit for the Silver Anniversary car. I'm assuming the car must be painted two-tone first... so what are the stripes for? The hood? It looks like new stripes could be applied by hand by a good paint pro... are these just decals? Thanks.

I memory serves me right Ken, the strips go between the 2 tone silver paint all the way around the car. Over the wheel wells and not too sure about the hood, there may be a stripe on either side of the hood buldge. I think that they were the same strips that were on the pace car of that year as well with the exception of the pace car being silver/black as opposed to the /silver/gray. They are a peel and sitck and if you have a steady hand you can probably do them yourself just make sure that if you are having the car repainted that the color break is in the correct place. I think that I would use the stripes as a guide for that.
Just my .02, there is probably someone out there that is more knowledgeable then I on the subject.

They are stick on decals. They divide the dark/light silver in the middle of the car. The kit also comes with the hood, side mirror, and front/rear bumber decals. I believe the kit is 300 bucks.
