my t-tops leak to, even with the new weather strip, i bought some weather strip foam tape stuff that was about an inch wide and 1/8 tall, put that on the t-top and used 3m weatherstrip adhesive to hold the t-top weather strip on top of it. It still leaks a little but not nearly as bad as before. maybe this helps.
i installed new weather stripping but t tops still leak any reason????? .
If yours is anything like mine, it was never the T-Tops that were leaking - the water was coming in around either the windshield frame or the little chrome pieces the T-Top weather strip rests on.
On my 80 I just siliconed the gaps in between those chrome pieces and all around the windshield frame and that solved the problem. You CAN see the silicone though if you look for it, so I wouldn't do it on a chrome bumper car or anything.
Like Brandywine stated above. It could be a combination of several factors. There are eight adjustments you can make on the tops for alignment, tighter fit. It takes some patience and trial and error but you can get the tops to fit properly and not have it leak inside the car.
