The Cross Fire Injection of 1982 utilized two computer contrlled electronic carburetors for more precise fuel metering. It was't real fuel injection as we know it today.
Thats not correct, it had two throttle bodies and an injector on top of each, so you do have injectors, two of them.
This is correct. There was an electronic so called carb in the late 70 s and early 80s cars but it was a carb with some electronics on it. They were terrible. The cross fire was the best fuel injection at its time and was the start of good things to come. FI has come a long way. I actually got to drive a brand new 82 at the time they came out. It was pretty torquey as I remember for an 82 car.
