I think once it's painted to match the car it will look great. I do think it would look better if it was extended to the back of the hood. It would be easy enough to cut it in half in the middle and extend it a little. You would just have to add a little bit in the center. I love the car as well. It looks like a job well done. Whatever you decide, let us know.
Ok I dunno where you got that or you made yourself...if you did do it yourself here are my suggestions: First of all the scoop should be as large as the bump in the hood...as it is now, it'll do like 2 steps and that is why it feels like an add-on. If you make it as large, it'll seem like it was a higher rise hood where the front was lowered. My other suggestion would be to stretch it all the way to the window keeping the angle of the hood at that point.
Great comments all. I think I will have to chew on this for a while. I am leaning towards extending it to the back of the hood. I guess I have the winter to figure out what I'm going to do.
The scoop I got is from ASA and I think they are now in receivership. I'll have to check out around here to see if there is someone who can mold this scoop for me if I choose to go that way. Thanks again, all.
Well, ya need ta' do something about covering that filter... I always liked the 67 427 hoods, so extend it and it'll look great. 'ya got your studded snow tires on yet? (Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada for the other folks)
