Default LS1 conversion update

I just added an updated page to my website. As soon as the film is developed there will be some pics. Let me know what you think.

Check on the photo shop today!
Really nice project

So, the T56 mated to the original cross member with very little modification, eh. Is that after you decided to move the engine 3" forward?

How about the shifter? Where is that lining up?

Have you fired that thing up yet and do you have any plans to modify it before you put it in (headers maybe)?

Thanks for the updates; it's a great project!

The engine ended up being about 2" forward. The crank pulley sits just behind and above the groove in the front crossmember. The shifter lines up front to rear, but comes out in the center of the console. I should be able to put some spacers on the actual shift lever and move it over to the side.

She still hasn't run yet. Waiting on my fuel pump and new painless fuse block to show up. I didn't want to spend the $800 for a custom wiring harness so I have been spending countless hours looking over all the wiring diagrams to figure out how to hook everything up. The mods will come, but I want to get her running first. I really wanted to use headers, but I can't find a set for under $500. And that's for shorty's. Long tubes will set you back about $1,000. What a rip!

I am taking the driveshft to get shortened this week. Once that is in I can put in the chambered exhaust.
