Have 383 stroke with.030 flattop piston (2 valve relief )750 holley
headers now the kicker using 882 heaads which have been ported yes I know heads are no good at least thats what I have been told, from what I can figure out I am at thrust hole( compression) for pump gas with these heads have to use these heads for now ( buying house ) .
Cam I have is 224/224@ 50 with 114 lobe also what hp may I be looking at with this setup.As far as what other heads I may get not sure due to my compression ant ideas for heads.

Based on 383, typical headers, muffs, no catalytic converter, dual plane, stock head castings, 9.4 C/R (which is probably not as close to the edge as you suspect), .450"/.460" lift cam and a DD2k simulation.
You could add 50 HP with a head swap to some Dart Iron Eagles.
You could add another 60 HP with a cam swap.
All just stuff I got out of the DD2K. Your results may vary.
Running a 383 with 9:5 comp..running comp cams magnum 270h..with roller rockers and rpm airgap with demon 750 sportsman 2 heads..dyno at flywheel was 475hp..with of course electric water pump, open headers, electric fuel pump.
