'81 Dash and Console lighting issue

'81 Dash and Console lighting issue
The courtesy light in the t-top center bar and the glove box light work fine on my '81 either when I open the door or when I turn the headlight switch all the way to the left but I get no lighting whatsoever from any of the dash lights or any of the bulbs in the console when I turn the headlight **** and the headlights are on. Is this likely a problem with the headlight switch itself or something other? Thanks.

I was wondering about the switch myself but now I'm not so certain. I looked at things a bit more yesterday. In addition to the courtesy lights working, I've noticed that the radio light works and actually dims/brightens as I turn the switch in both directions although it does flicker a bit as it changes intensity. I'm thinking that this would indicate that the switch might be okay but again, I'm not certain. I think I'm going to look some more under the dash and check out the electrical connections from the switch. There must be at least one connection that goes to the dash and console lights.
On the plus side, my new Corbeau seats arrived yesterday so I'll be pulling out the old seats in the next few days and I'll finally be able to fit myself into the car and get my head under the dash.
