VB&P Rack Attack

I just met with the owner and the operations manager handling this project. We are starting to ship out the VBP Rack Attacks but without the slip joint mounting piece. We are using the standard mounting piece right now. We are still working on the slip joint piece, we have not given up, we just want it perfect. The time frame for the slip joint piece is 1 to 6 weeks. I am just not sure. We have a backlog of orders and if customers do not want to wait, we are starting to ship them out now. I should have the backlog cleared up in 3 to 4 weeks. Now that we have all of the components set up and ready to ship, he can devote all his time to working on the slip joint piece.
If you do not wish to wait, let me know. If you want to wait, I can keep you posted. Again, I am sorry for the delay in responding.
Best Regards,
Pattie

steering...is un nerving to say the least.....and after all the crap about kits, and examples...methinks due to the age of these cars, and the various guys of various talents working on them....
one should roll their own....it took me several months to accept my own install done back 02 or so as being totally roadworthy....even for super high speed work....
i'ts possible, but methinks not on a bolt in basis.....
that's my opinion, and not going to change as it's BTDT....
My point is....
Ive read and believe the Bracket isnt up to snuff(Poor R&D) . The flaw came to light when it failed on customers Cars. Any Company needs to do at least appropriate testing before releasing any product with their name on it to the public. They should do that because it shows Care and integrity from "within" the company and displays their Talent not mine or lack of. "Easy for a home Bubba to intall, But isnt reliable doesnt set well for me. This is especially true for products that could prove dangerous and Costy to the consumer.
Hoping VBP improves on the Steeroids bracketry and perfects the slip joint.
On the other hand, I dont want to be the first install of the slip joint. Chris -69myway- on the DC has posted he has done an install of the VBP set-up already on someones Vette. Possibly without the slip joint if they are not offering this to the public yet.
B......
If the brackets rip off of this kit within a few months like they have on some of the Steeroids kits or one of the many components fails and VB&P promises you a replacement but never delivers, and ignores your messages for several weeks how would you feel about spending over a grand with that company?
I will be calling them tomorrow, I'll report back here.
