Default Automatic transmission bolt size question

I'm trying to find the perfect size bolts to put my 350 trans back in my car. It's been apart 3 years and I'm trying to find bolts that not only fit, but that may be the perfect length for getting them in the between the tight firewall and the trans. belhousing. Any recommendations are truly appreciated.

I used one of those ratcheting wrenches to install my bolts, it made my life a WHOLE lot easier. There isn't enough room for a socket wrench and using a standard wrench is painful

It was either a 9/16 or 5/8 ratchet wrench....

Thanks 82 - that's a great idea. I about 1/8 and 1/4-turned myself to death removing the trans with a open end wrench. I'll go buy a set of ratcheting wrenches today. I'm also getting hi-pressure or braided lines made to access the trans cooler lines easier as well. After that, replacing the drive shaft rear universals while working through the rear crossmember is the next bit of fun. Thanks again

Surf, I"M lazy as hell, and just use the two bottom bolts, the two up top I feel are not needed, as the assy weight is held by the 4 on bottom....just look at it and you see I"m right....never been an issue in some 40 years of hotrodding.....
