For those of you with electric fuel pumps, how long / do you turn the car to "ON" and let the system prime before starting the car?
Thanks
Shane
If you drive your car at least once a week, you shouldn't have to prime at all. The bowls will hold enough fuel to idle a few minutes with no fuel coming from the pump.
I just get in, and start it.
If it has sat for a while and the fuel has evaporated then priming would be called for, at least five to ten seconds.

Interesting, thanks. I would have thought the fuel would recess a bit back down the fuel lines and back towards the fuel tank.
I guess maybe I am asking the wrong question....Here is my issue. I thought once I switched to an electric fuel pump, that would help with quicker start-ups but it still takes a few pumps of the pedal and a little more cranking than I thought necessary to turn-over. Could I be having another problem with the carb itself? I thought it was just I needed to let the system prime itself but I guess not.
I don't prime mine at all. Just turn the key and start.
Same here - no matter how how long the car has been sitting. And I don't think that just because you switch to an electric fuel pump that you'll get quicker starts.
