'68 Fiber Optics Question
Hi!
I've just finished getting my lamp monitoring system working on my '71. This prompted a friend to work on his '68 system. I told him I just pulled some new FO cable out of a Cadillac. He's claiming that the fiber optics themselves are colored amber and red. Mine were all clear. Is there any difference between '68 fo and '71? Does anyone have a source for new fo cord?

In my 69, the bright light indicators are red, so there has to be either colored fiber or the lense has the color in it. Not sure which but hope this helps. :seeya

I believe that all C3 FO cables were clear. I was at Stoudt's Corvette in Reading, PA a couple of weeks ago and thought I saw some kind of FO repair kit in one of the display cases. You might give them a call (610-374-4856). Incidentally, they are by far the best supplier that I have dealt with in the Corvette hobby.

They're clear. The lenses in the center console are colored...Yellow for markers, Green for headlights, Red for brights and tail lights, and White for license plate...
