Default Differential Question

Checked all the differential posts that I could find, but I couldn't find any info on the torque specs for the diff cover bolts.
Mine is a '78, with a 3.08 rear end, 6 cover bolts.
For that matter, where can dig up a good set of torque specs on the car?

BTW, great differential posts! learned a lot. ('cept for the torque on the cover bolts )

Thanks

From the Chevy 1978 chassis service manual, Rear Axle, 4B-21...

Carrier cover, 50 ft lbs.
Filler Plug, 20.
Pinion lock screw, 20.
Bearing caps, 55.
Ring gear bolts, 55.

The factory SM is indispensable.

They can cost you a bit thru some of the typical Vette vendors, but you may find a bargain on fleaBay...
For whatever reason, the '78 book is an all inclusive Chevy book, so a lot of guys get the '79.
