I've talked to mechanics in all sorts of feilds. And I haven't found anyone that can tell me how to modify this fuel system is it possible. The mechanics all tell me to yank it out and go with a different fuel delivery .
For most of us it's a really good system. Clean them, reseal both throttle bodies and the intake then increase the fuel pressure to 15 psi. You won't believe the difference. My basically stock 300,000 mile on the original motor car pulls real hard to 110 mph. This forum helps a lot but the crossfire forum only deals with crossfire cars and trucks.
There was a good article in an old Corvette Fever about a Canadian turning awesome times with a modified Crossfire. Clean up the intake ports castings marks.
OK! So if I do bore this injection system and boost the P.S.I. that would mean I nedd to mofify other parts so i don't thrash the rotory system or tear out transmissions and rearends?
Well from everything that i have gotten from the web site was every thing is still experimental but me being in the business of living on the edge I'm going to try it LOL!!! If it fails I'll to on and move to plan B. Ok off to eBay to find a few tools and thanks for all the great info and the links.

All about and for the CFI. I have done a lot of business with them and they really know their stuff!
Good Luck!

Which site is that? The only thing thats really experimental on a modified CF from these sights is the ECM tuning once you move to either the 7747 or 8746 ECM. Going to the "Dark Side" is mostly flying by the seat of your pants kind of thing.
I have a friend who owns a 1984 C4..... wich have basically the same engine than 1982 C3.
We make a good deal swapping the manifold with a X-ram.... ( www.x-ram.com ).
If you never seen the ports of a crossfire intake...... you will be very surprised of how small they are...... basically the 40% of the head ports (in the bottom) are corked!

Actually, going to a an XRam manifold on a stock CF isn't the best choice and you will lose bottom end. Porting a stock manifold will yield more power across the board on a stock motor than an XRam. You could always add a spacer plate between the two top plates to gain more volume though.
The XRam makes the biggest improvements when coupled with a larger cube motor such as a 383 or larger. It does work fine on a somewhat modified 357 and 377 inch motor also. So, for most bang for the buck, go with the ported stock manifold. Besides, IMO the XRam is way over priced.
I agree with the comment that the x-ram, although a alternative it will not bennifit you unless you have other mods to compensate for the loss in low end you'll get. As far as you concerns about the tranny and d44, I don't think you have anything to worry about with just fuel delivery mods as long as they are in good shape to start.
While you are porting you manifold it would be a good idea to have you tb's re-bushed. I've heard those guys at Dynamic Crossfire Solutions do a pretty good job.
