Default Crossmember for 4L60E

Bowtie isnt replying but I was wondering if anyone knew if this unit will work for a 4L60E aswell? this is a hangup in my 81 LT1 swap. thanks

It probably won't be an exact match but it would probably get you in the "ball park". Swaps require custom fabrication, that's the nature of the beast.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Dimensionally 700R4 and 4L60E are very similar if not the same. The BowTie crossmember uses the mounting pad just back of the pan so the tailhousing is not part of the mounting.

Default 4l60...

For what I know the 4L60-e is only an electronic version of the older 700R4.... so I can't imagine a reason for having troubles.

Remember that you will need an ECU for the 4L60-e....
