I went ahead and bought a HEI dist and was wondering how I could hook it up to my harness and allow my tach etc to work? anyone know? it is a midwest dist part mwm.8908
also I am in the market for a carb to go on top of my edelbrock 2101 intake. This means that I will be selling my stock q-jet which ran fine when i took it off about a week ago. Does anyone have any holley 650s laying around they wanna trade? Would I be better off with a SA670 or a 650 double pumper? thanks.
Isn't that an 81? If so, there is a Power wire that just plugs into the distributor. The Tach is a single wire that plugs in next to the power con, thats about all it needs
is the tach wire green? i am trying to figure out which wire is my tach wire. I have it narrowed down to 4 wires. a green one and the others seem white..hard to tell other colors due to age.

I am no longer using the 2101 and have a holley 670 sa , i am wondering if anyone has this carb that they can show me a pic of the setup on the kickdown and throttle cable attached to their linkages? and then my tach question above. Thanks.

On my 81 the tach wire is tan .. goes to a capacitor looking thing on the top passenger side of the firewall and then into the main harness
I took the capaciter looking things off b/c i figure i no longer need them. I have the two connectors that were on them with 2 wires going to each one. That makes 4 wires total. It looks like 1 (use) to be redish and one is green and 2 are white. I know one of those carries the tach signal but not sure which.
