3M makes a weather strip release agent. I have used it and it works. Most auto parts stores sell this stuff.

Rob,

I got the 3M stuff from 3M directly! Couldn't find it in the store, and they sell it cheaper than other web parts suppliers.
They are at: www21.3M.com/carcarestore
This is what you are looking for:
3MT Release Agent, 16 oz Aerosol, PN 08879
I got it for $6.03 + tax. They also have FREE Shipping!
I also got some other goodies while I was at it,
3MT Choke & Carb Cleaner 75, 16 fl oz Aerosol, PN 08796 - $3.90
3MT Foaming Engine Degreaser, 20 oz Aerosol, PN 08899 - $4.51
3MT Gasket Prep and Parts Cleaner, 20 oz Aerosol, PN 08901 - $3.31

Hope this helps!

It kills me that people spend so much money on specialty cleaning products when most jobs can be done using commonly available, cheap alternatives.
I commonly use naptha (lighter fluid) as a release agent/bug & tar remover,
denatured alcohol and white vinegar are stain fighters. Simple green is a great
degreaser but it's not much better than Tang in a spray bottle. Prices on these
items generally run 3-4 bucks to the gallon. Why pay more when there are so many tools to buy?

6 bucks ain't gonna break me.
But there definately are tools to be bought! A nice air compressor and iImpact gun would be nice! Maybe Santa can bring those for me. Although considering Santa=Wife, the odds are pretty slim!

I love this time of year. Yesterday I was adjusting the window after the weatherstriping settled in and made an offhand comment about the sorry state of my door panels. The wifey says "Maybe Santa heard that." :D

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I use beer on my lawn but I run it through my filtrating system first.
