I am getting ready to tackle the "fun" project of rewiring my 1968 BB. Wanted to know if any of you gentlemen recommend any particular company to purchase all of my wiring harnesses? I.E. correct color coding, quality product...
Thanks in advance.

when I did my 72, I got all Lectric Limited harnesses they were perfect and exactly like the originals down to every detail.

+1 I'll only add that you should buy all your harnesses from the same vendor. I used Lectric Limited harnesses myself.
A hint on pricing...You can get them cheaper through a vendor versus buying direct from Lectric Limited. Some of the vendors have 'commitment' programs offering 10-15% off.
All mine were Lectric Limited and I got them from ZIP. Fit was perfect, basically plug and play.
Same here. Found out Lectric Limited had the best reputation.
Got a quote from them for my engine harness and zip beat that price but the harness arrived at my house in a Lectric Limited box.
Harness was perfect in every aspect making installation a breeze.
Took me about 40 min to remove the old harness and about the same time to install the new one. Most work was at the starter and firewall block. Solved countless electrical problems.
I used lectric limited, but bought the harnesses at tld corvette in Atlanta. You can buy them cheaper thru them than buying them from Lectric Limited! Kathy
I just replaced all 4 harnesses in my 68 BB. Lectric Limited is the way to go. It's basically a plug and play operation. Take your time, be patient and follow the layout of the old harness.
Did my 72 two years ago under the dash with Lectric limited....easiest work I have done to date. keep a service manual open and a color coded wiring diagram in case you get pulled away from the project for awhile. you can check off areas as you go. i moved left to right across my dash repairing parts as I went...then installed my dash right to left. It is a great time to check hoses and those little nasty light bulbs that pop out.
A year later I tackled my engine harness w/an Ll wire set from Last Detail in Atlanta...same thing..pull one plug attach the same...unless buba (with 2 b's) did the wiring....then always check the circuit first.
I re-did my 68 sb with harnesses from Volunteer Vette Products, which are the same harnesses I think. They are great people to deal with and they will make sure you get what you want. If there is an error they try to fix it ASAP. They also give bulk order discounts, I got 10% on the harnesses, plus the 10% stays on my account as a preferred customer and free shipping!! I just made another big order from them and plan to continue looking with them first before others as long as the customer service holds true as it has. Again, great people at VolVette!!!
Get a big tube of electrical grease (silicon grease-elecrical) and use it on ALL the new connections, will really help down the road. 3M has it in your local parts isle. however, never use electical grease Inside your distributor cap. Ask me how i know.....
High quality...Lectric LTD's MAIN competitor. I have both in my '72 (Lectric & M&H) I see no difference in quality. BOTH are accepted by the NCRS.
ALSO: Great advise above: Use dielectric grease on all connectors. ESPECIALLY on those exposed to the elements. (Side markers, headlamps, tail lights, etc..)
