guide plates

Default guide plates
What should I torque the guide plate studs down to on my heads?

After you have the head installed on the block and you have aligned the rocker arm tips/pushrods with the valve stems you will want to put some sealant on the rocker arm threads and torque the studs down to 50 Ft-Lbs.

Make sure you're using hardened push rods. Soft stock ones are more likely to wear against the plates and leave metal shavings in your oil.
