Warm starting problem.
Warm Starting Problem. Question
I have a little problem with the vette starting when warm. It sounds like my bendix is not engaging. Is this a heat related problem. Opinions??

You may have what is commonly called heat soak where the solenoid gets hot and doesn't function properly.
You can usually tell this is the case if it starts great when cold but it's hard to start when hot.
Replacing the starter is probably the easiest solution. You can either replace it with a stock starter or a later model mini starter.
This has solved most hot start problems here.

You can also get a heat shield for the starter you have.
