AC Unit Clicking
When I run my 82 vette AC I hear a very rough click under the hood. I checked the compressor and it looks like the front plate stops and starts spinning. Could my compresser be going bad or do I need to recharge my AC.

Sounds like it is low on refrigerant. The low pressure switch is causing the compressor to cycle. It is a safety to keep your compressor from burning up. Is the car cooling? Put a set of gauges on the system and check pressures.
