Default Bent Connectors on my EPROM

Decided to take a look at my EPROM on my 82 Corvette computer. I used a chip puller and it came out with ease. Looking at the module I noticed two connectors bent inward like it was done for a reason. Don't have a picture, but I can post when I get home. Is this normal? do any of you have a schematic for this? Your feedback is appreciated.

I replaced mine and their were no bent pins but I have heard of people doing crazy things like that to disable the alarm. IMO bend them back and try it. If something acts up like the alarm or the transmision then bend them back or by a hypertec prom. I did and I should of did it a long time ago.

I have been playing around with eeproms and other electronic components for years and I would say Bubba plugged it in and bent the pins, if you want to disable pins it is better to snip them off that way they don't still make contact with something. If the computer still works it is likely those pins are still making good contact
