Default Side Pipes

My side pipes have rotted out and went looking for new ones.
I find these are not cheep to replace and I have a chose between aluminized or stainless steel.
Is the stainless worth the money and is there any performance difference?

Another option is to get the plain steel and have them Jet Hot coated. Will run about the same money as stainless steel but will keep the heat away from the covers.

Edit: The Sterling is what I put on my factory sidepipes.

I am looking for options on stock replacement. Mid America has Alum, and Stainless. Ecklers also. Is there a difference from with one I buy from other then the cost and is it worth the extra money for Stainless.

You will remember the difference every time you are out side polishing the dull aluminum.

Try Allen's, and I would go stainless.

When you say aluminum, are you looking at aluminized steel?

If you are going to keep the car a long time, I'd go st-st. Otherwise aluminized steel would hold up well.

Go for it if you like em!!As for performance I do not think that you will not see any better performance then other materials that sidepipes are constructed of.But SS is trick looks and care are better.Later Geno
