Default Differential numbers

Can't seem to find the numbers on the rear end can you tell me exactly where to look. Replaced a non-functional 18 tooth speedo gear for 19 tooth per assy book. Didn't list 18 tooth. Thanks in advance

The numbers on my rear end/differential are stamped on the rear of differential..don't know if this is what you need...I posted a forum a couple months back and no one replied...so it may not mean nothing..I was just trying to find out what gear ratio I have on my '76....Good Luck, Pete

Rotate the side yoke one turn and count the revolutions of the driveshaft yoke to determine the ratio. The numbers are stamped on the lower rear of the housing on the flat part in front of the cover but they don't help if the gear is changed
