Default Parts supplier Poll

Which of the many corvette vendors would you say is your primary corvette parts source, the one you would recommend if you could only recommend one. This is difficult as some vendors don't have a comprehensive inventory, some have lesser parts, some are less expensive, some have better customer service, some have better pricing and pricing matching/discounting policies, etc.

Note: You can select more than one.

I find that Volunteer vette has very good prices and generally a fairly complete selection. They also have their catalog in PDF form which makes finding parts easy. They also offer a 5/10/15% discount which is unmatched. However, they will not price match.
ZIp and CC do not have PDF catalogs, and finding parts can be a pain. Zip has the worst on-line search engine, and generally higher prices
CC has a very comprensive offering and they will price match.

Paragon also has a good PDF catalog. Their prices are just ok.
Long Island vette has a poor PDF catalog, very difficult to find parts and read. And they seem behind the times.
Ecklers is generally not price competitive.
Mid America, has a horrid catalog where they combine all the generations in one, limited offering, and higher prices.
Wilcox seems very competitive but they do not have a comprehensive product line.
Year One is not price competitive nor do they have a complete offering.
Dr. Rebuild is very behind the times and has a painful multipart PDF catalog. No on-line ordering
The last Detail has some good weatherstrip pricing, but overall a very limited product offering.

Dr. Rebuild has so many small / odd parts that many of the other vendors don't carry. I think his catalogue has very helpful diagrams, too. I believe the drawings are J.C.'s work. It's where I usually look first.

Alan

I work on a lot of daily drivers and get a really good dealer discount from Volunteer so they work the best for me.I still buy dealer at Ecklers but not near the volumn since they were sold plus my salesman died.I have bought a few hard to find items from Dr. Rebuild and Paragon.

Default It's only money!

I've done most of my business with Riks, there a little less than the others, and a 2 hour drive thru NC is always a fun ride. I've purchased from all the others, I'll go with the best price. Sometimes only one supplier has what you need so now price is no issue. Iv'e been happy with the parts that they send and they all seem to be big on customer satisfaction. All of the majors have been fair on there return privelige, so take a shot, Pete.

I get most of my restoration bits from Zip and Paragon, with most of my suspension and brake stuff coming from VB&P or Van Steel.
