Default Pillar Post Weatherstrip ?

After putting in new windshield and trim,I have new pillar post w/s.The window when going up wants to go on the inside of the w/s . I have adj.window as much as possible. Does the w/s retainer meet flush with the windshield molding on the outside or are they adj. for the window? Any pics out there? Thanx ..dale

These are the pics I got when I replaced mine. from what I recall, there was some adjustability because the slots in the stainless carrier pieces were elongated. you can remove the entire piece and reinstall it. GM used the same waterproofing as in the rear window seal. basicly a long bead of some substance similar to tar. sure you installed yours in the right direction?

Thanx running man.I think I got it in the right direction. Looking at your pic ,I would say the top piece is the l. side. I could move the retainer in a quater inch but then it wouldn't be flush with windshied side trim....Dale

Played with it for awhile today. When you close door with window up it fits perfect in w/s. Goes down fine but when door is closed and window goes up it wants to go to the inside of the w/s and retainer. Nothing is easy.
