Default A nice discovery

While removing the valve covers to test fit on the corvette accessory bracket, here is what I saw. They look like roller rockers. (I plead ignorance on valve trains) If so, what brand are they? worth keeping?
Thanks. LT1 swap making slow but steady progress.

They look nice! Aren't there some markings or engraving to tell you the manufacturer?

I had heard that GM installed roller rockers in the LT1's. I believe they are originall equipment. Made by Crane for GM.

I'm pretty sure it was just the LT4 motors in 96 that had the Crane roller rockers. The blue color looks like Proforms roller rockers but look for markings or numbers on them.

Only the LT4's had roller rockers, the LT1's had the regular stamped steel rockers. Those look to be the "Proform" brand. I have a set on my 76 vette. Although not a high dollar rocker, I have been running mine for 3 years with out issue.

They in all likelyhood are 1.6's. That is a popular upgrade for LT1's.
It may be stamped 1.5 or 1.6 on the rocker I can't remember.

Sorry Gordonm beat me to it!

The origional LT4 rockers were indeed made by crane & there was a couple of recalls on them also. Problems with the needle bearings in the trunion coming apart.
