77 Sagging door handle
77 with a sagging door handle on the drivers side. Is there a way to repair without having to remove the inside panel. Handle works fine..the chrome push part sags a little.

V shape spring
The piece mentioned to in previous posts does indeed work well to stop the sag in the door handle, however be aware that your door handle will need replacing at some future date. The drivers side goes first for obvious reasons. Its not that bad of a job, just time consuming.

The cheap quick fix is to use the V shaped metal tab that inserts into the door handle. This can be done from outside the car.
The good fix is to replace the spring that is attached to the handle lever. For this the door panel needs to come off, and the door handle needs to be removed.
