Default Ceter bolt valve cover heads.

Looking at some heads for my 80 350 . will these heads work?

Yep, direct bolt on. LT1 heads are the ones that won't fit, and obviously LS heads.

If they're vortec heads, your intake won't bolt on...

I don't think they made Vortec heads in '80.

What casting numbers are the heads? Some of the centerbolt style heads are not worth putting on.

This IS very true. Yes they will fit just fine, as you asked, but next comes the question of why and what the heads came off of. They may be choked and flow very poorly.

What are the numbers on the heads?

If they are Corvette L98 center bolt heads, they will have a 58cc combustion chamber. Your heads, stock, are around 76cc, I believe. So your compression ratio will go up over 10:1. You'll want to run 92 octane or higher fuel with these heads. Also, they don't have a heat crossover, so your engine may run a little rough longer since it will take longer to warm up. The fuel won't atomize quite so well with the cold air. The exhaust ports on the heads are raised a bit over stock, so your exhaust manifold port won't completely line up with the port on the head. Not ideal, but not the end of the world either.
