Default 1970 Muncie removal
Will I need to remove the shifter assembly from the shifter bracket and remove them from the car in order to remove the tranie

It all needs cleaned off so it will slip back in the soild crosmember far enough to get it out.

I've also found that by rotating the trans 90 degrees (so that the side cover points up) give you a lot more play room to push the trans back and clear the bellhousing to drop the trans.
