Re: What do you use your Vette for? (Stingray1967)
Mental therapy and gateway to my own little world. Used for hot-rodding, car shows, relaxation, garage tinkering, saving the wave, and invaluable camaraderie.
Everything listed is so true with the acception of NCRS and Concourse, cuz of the poopie I've done to that car. if i even got a block from an NCRS show, they would turn me around and laugh. but I laugh when i take that stock 435 hp big block.. damn I love owning a vette.
I "drive" all four of my cars. Some of course more than others. Just "turned" 138,000mi on the '75 yesterday. I do alot of driving to NCRS shows and probably have put 14,000mi alone on my '74, '75 and '80 just doing that. I'll also drive them out to dinner often, local cruise-ins and to get small parts from the auto parts stores. I try to drive them as often as possible. That's why I own them. :yesnod:
Strictly for therapy-- Better to mash the pedal of a 500+ H.P. Big Block than to pay some clown to listen to you ramble, who really doesn't really care if you're dead or alive!
I guess it's sort of like firing off a Howitzer, or something; it gives me a much bigger rush than ANY drug could ever do!
 :yesnod:  :chevy  :yesnod:
