Default Attention Mighty Demon Owners

Do not try to use Holley hollow screws with the discharge nozzles. They are too long and can wedge the check ball closed.

On the plus side I finally got rid of the off idle stumble that I've had forever. Went from .031 to .028 to .035 to .040 discharge nozzles which fixed the problem.

good!
many don't realize idle flow is in direct proportion to vac.,
so when u step on it,
it is mostly just the pump shot that gets us moving

So what motor are you running? I have a 750 MD on my 383 and also have a stumble problem?

Buy bigger squirter nozzles (discharge nozzles), go up 3-5 sizes at a time. But always use the MD screws!

Where did you buy your nozzles. I have a 750 Speed Demon with Off idle stumble. It didn't have it when the weather was warmer but now it does.

I use Holley nozzles, easier to come by, same stuff. You can order it from Summit or Jegs. I had Autozone order mine for me so that I wouldn't have to pay shipping. If you talk to any knowledgeable salesman at your local autoparts store they should be able to order them for you.

Thanks Torq.

I see them listed as Tube and straight. What is the difference and what did use?

Sorry for the noob questions but I thrive on learning this stuff.

Nevermind I went out and compared pics of both to mine. I have straight. No tubes.

Do you have to change the Nozzle screws when you change the nozzles or can you reuse them?

I ordered set of .035, .037, and .040.

Should the Primary and secondary have the same size squirters?

No, try doing just the primary first. I did it the old fashion way with a .040 drill bit when I first got my demon. You also have to ensure that the pump arm causes dribble at even the slowest small movement of the throttle linkage - that is without causing a bind at WOT

My original demon actually had the pump cam installed wrong. Mine might have been assembled on Friday afternoon.

I actually dorked with everything i could and was never 100% happy. I finally had a race carb shop give it the full flow bench and dyno treatment. My demon is now very responsive.
