Hot stuff manifold dressing question

I coated my new exhaust manifolds with Hot Stuff from Paragon then baked them as directed but the finish came out a little rough. Is this normal or did I do something wrong? Will this coating peel off eventually?

I used Hot Stuff about two years ago and it has not peeled off at all. The finish is as smooth as was the exhaust manifolds were before coating them.
