The L82 4-speed equipped model seems to be bringing in much better prices. Personally I wouldn't buy one without an L82 and 4-speed.
In the early 90's I had a '78 SA with the L82 4-speed and it really made the car come alive compared to friends of mine that had the standard L48 and TH350 :smash:

Very true. My L48 was a dog until I put in the new cam and heads. The L82 4 speed does go for more money. It really shouldn't though, both are on the slow side when stock. It is more a matter of number manufactured than anything.
Oh, no question about that. Cars are never a good investment (in general)[/QUOTE]
Now I will disagree with that...I have made no less than 4k on the last 3 cars I have owned...Buy them right..(The right car) and fix them yourself....I did 2 GTO"S and a 67 convertible Firebird....
Re: Another inexpensive Pace Car (Simon Alexander)
Who rebuilds a motor with 67K? :bs Maybe 167,000. I saw mint pace car the other day with a nice CD player(rare factory option). What are people thinking?
