For the last few outing's, and only durring the first 3-5 miles...my speedo guage takes off and occulates between say 120 and 140. While it's doing this... it's making a very ugly (squalling dry bearing), sound. After doing this a few times, (from normal to my description), it settles down and work perfectly fine! Any ideas? Muddy

Sounds like you need to pull out your speedo cable and lube it up. Not too bad of a job if you don't mind digging in behind your driver's side dash.

Yep, I should have included...before, I put the dash all back together... I used (plenty) graphite lub on the tach drive cable and the speedo cable. Muddy

If you had the speedo cable disconnected then it is not fully seated. You will damage the speedo and/or cable if you don't go back in and reseat the cable. You should hear a click when it seats.

SJR: Seems strange, as we now have over 12K on the restore with no problems...ummmmm. Sure hate to go in there again Thanks Muddy
