Do a search on the forum. There were some real problems with an engine builder in Phoenix, but I cannot remember which one. There seems to be quite a few shops in Phoenix that sell on eBay.
I forgot to mention in the other thread that I talked to another ebayer after I had problems with my motor that bought an engine from phoenixmusclecar and he said that the motor seized up after 8000 miles. I think he ended up getting his money back or the motor fixed because it was within the warrantee period. I don't remember all the details about the situation because it was a couple of years ago. Thought I would mention it because this company has screwed more then one person.
pj corvette.
I personally know the guys at Basko's 480 967 1956
Ray the head machinist is a top notch guy.
Jim Basko is the owner. I've dealt and know both of them since the mid 80's. I've had them do all my heavy engine work and never have a problem.
Ray can advise you on whatever you want to do.
Give them a call -tell them Phil sent you-

I haven't heard anything good about Phx Engine Rebuilders and would be very weary of them, but I am "very" familar with Basko's in Gilbert, AZ. I have had a various issues with them over the last year and half on two motors. Now, with that said...Ray is a top notch machinist, great guy, a wealth of info and they did make good on everything with no questions asked which I apprciated, I just didn't appreciate all the grief I had to go through each time something happened and especially when they dropped my numbers matching block and cracked it beyond repair. Talk about pissed off! OMG
