Faster than a BB Vette dragging on a Saturday night :) :) :)
A turkey on Thanksgiving Day
What's everyone doing for Thanksgiving? I didn't feel like driving 200 miles to my sister's place... so might just drive the Vette to a Truck Stop and have a turkey dinner there! I don't think they would buy it if I tried a homeless center!  :D

Re: Happy Thanksgiving .... (slide)
Happy Turkey Day everyone.
I think that instead of cooking a big meal we are going to let Cracker Barrell do the cooking. It is such a big mess and takes up so much time to do all that cooking. Just drive over to CB(10 min) and stand in line(1 HR) and then munch out and drive home and watch the ball games or better yet tinker with the vette some.
A Happy and Safe Thanksgiving to all on this forum and thank you for your help and answers to my many questions throughout the year.
Enjoy the holiday, everyone.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving .... (ksbunting)
Happy Thankgiving to all the regulars here.
I've been making the turkey since my wife had disc surgery a few years back. I always helped when I was little and now my 13 year old daughter is returning the favor. It'll just be the four of us....I tried to invite other relatives but my daughter protested??? They insist they'll enjoy Thanksgiving more with just the four of us.:D :
I think your daughter's insistance on just having the four of you at Thanksgiving makes a very positive statement about the value of what her immediate family means to her. You are no doubt very proud and deserve to be so.
Now, since she is thirteen does that mean in a few more years she will be driving that Corvette, Dad,,,,,,,

Re: Happy Thanksgiving .... (The Wanderer)
Thanks guys. I never looked at the result of all my yelling about turning the lights off(amoung other things) It's hard to see if the clothes are getting clean when you're in the washing machine -if you know what I mean!
KS--I don't know about letting either of my daughters drive the Vette right after they get their license. (part of my original plan was to buy and restore 2-pre '74 Vettes for them to inherit.)
I think I start them out slow with the Explorer and maybe proceed to the Rustang GT.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Len - Cudos on a having a great family, you have no doubt done a great job in the Dad department. :)
I give pause this morning to consider how fortunate I am to have a wife that has stuck by me for 30 plus years, given me three beautiful daughters who will share this day (not to mention my pride and joy 2 year old grandson :D ). I'm also thankful to be a citizen of this great country. Among the nations of the world, we are indeed most blessed. I too am thankful for the friends and the fellowship I've found through this unique forum.
It may not be politcally correct, but I'm thankful most of all for the grace of a living, loving God.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I have many good things going on in my life. My family is healthy, one's in college and my business is strong enough to support my bad habit (the one in the garage!). I am thankful for these things and also the fellowship and help from the folks on the forum.
