Have a 69, 76, 78 and 81. Are the frames the same on all four? If they are, does anyone have a frame diagram with measurements they could post. I really need one for the 81. I bought it wrecked (not bad), it ran up under something. My problem is the power steering pully is touching the front cross member. I do not know if the frame is bent a little or if the motor moved a bit.
Would appreciate any advice.
the later frames are different but only by a little i believe. The biggest difference is going to be the tranny crossmember. The later years only have one indent for the single exhaust, earlier years had two holes for dual exhaust to pass through.

76 and 78 should be the same. 69 has a different rear section and different body mount height. I think the 81 has the aluminum rear differential section and may have frame differences to accomodate that. Check BarryK's website. He used to have frame diagrams posted there. The good thing is higher production numbers for later year Vettes means more reasonably priced frames are available.

Was the engine hit from the top maybe pushing it down. If so you may have bent an engine mount horn. Take a look at the frame dimention post and you will see the mount horn I'm speaking of.
