My Motive Brake Bleeder cost my around $89.00 and came with 3 adapters that will do just about any car.It hooks up to the M/C and holds 2 quarts of brake fluid, you pump it up to around 20 lbs and then just go around to each wheel bleeder and open them up one at a time until the fluid runs clear, that's it!
On a Vacuum operated unit it seems to me that you have to keep filling up the Master M/C unit everytime it becomes low and possibly suck in some air at the same time if if it gets low? Pressure bleeding seems to be more of the natural way a braks system works ( by pressing on the brake pedal , Vacuum or sucking the fluid I have heard of a few problems from a few people on post I have read somewhere , but I can't verify this.
I was just amazed at how simple the Motive unit worked for me and clean-up was a breeze.
Plus I just re-read about the Vacuum unit, you have to keep the car running for vacuum? Not something I would want to do in my garage.

Did you buy it online or at a auto parts store? It sounds pretty easy, I think I'll pick one up - cost of the unit will easily be cheaper that taking it in to a shop.

lil off topic but if can pump pressure into my brake system, is bleeding the brakes the thing to try first? I have brake fluid in the reservoir and it's not leaking out anywhere, it just wont build any pressure up...

Purchased mine from the Web, do a search and buy the unit that comes with the different adapters that you need for all of your cars. The only cost different between units are the adapters , the more adapters you want the more the cost. I think the basic unit the will do a Corvette is around $69.00 I ordered the unit that has all of the adapters that will do any make car and I paid $89.00. Do a web search on ( Motive ) and go for the lowest price.

shoot4me , I don't know what your problem is ,maybe be you M/C needs bleeding, or a seal in it has gone bad. Nor sure if air in the system will do what you are describing.

Bought mine from VBP; www.vbandp.com/, Davies Corvette; www.corvetteparts.com/ also sells them, and you can find them on eBay from various vendors.
