Speedo cable(s)?
I am about to order new speedo cable, and noticed that they sell
2 kinds. Upper and lower?
Then I wonder if I need 1 or 2 for a -69 automatic?

my 74 has 2 cables, an upper and lower; but a single cable is also sold as a replacement. if your 69 is like the 74, you can replace one end or the other, or both. if the upper is good, consider cleaning and new lube

My '79 has cruise control. The lower cable goes from the trans into a transducer for the cruise control. The upper cable goes from the transducer into the speedo.
You can skip the transducer, and install the single cable if you don't have or don't want to use the cruise control. My transducer went bad, and snapped the lower cable. My car now has a single cable from the trans to the dash.
However, I'm not sure if your '69 is the same as a '79....
