Oil filter assembly
Is there a gasket or sealer required when a new oil valve assembly is installed? This is the threaded pipe and base that you screw the oil filter onto. Is the oil filter gasket the only thing that prevents leaks.

Yes that is the part. I was not sure what the proper name was. I bought the part to install on my new 400 block but could find no instructions in any of my manuals. Thanks for the reply.
